WebA large part of communicating with children patients is the inclusion of their parents or guardians. You are likely to deal with some people who are in a great deal of distress. Try to allay their fears as best you can, answering all their questions as honestly as possible. WebSmall talk is terrible. And i've found that 99% of the time, completely unused outside of those standardized patient things. You just get in and out and any conversation is about things that are relevant to the patient. That said - there are a couple of things you can cheat with if you absolutely need small talk.
