WebI too am trying to decide whether to leave the state for a federal job. Currently I’m a RDA 1 and was offered a GS-9 economist position in DC. Within two years I can hit GS-12 (86.5K salary) without “promoting”, whereas with the state, to reach 86.5K it’s take me longer and I’d have to interview for multiple promotions until I reach RDS 2/3.
